The Lost Continent of Atlantis

One of the biggest mysteries of the ancient world was the so called existence of a highly advanced civilization of people who lived on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean known as 'Atlantis'. Legend says, the people of Atlantis used very advanced technology, far ahead of their times. They possessed technology such as spacecraft, vehicles and other gadgets, which would outsmart even today's hi-tech stuff.
History
It is said that Poseidon, God of the Sea, created the island for his love, a mortal woman named Cleito. Slowly people started moving into this vast continent and made it their home. They lived in harmony for centuries before greed and desire for power took over them. Zeus, King of the Gods decided to punish Atlantis. Soon afterwards the entire continent was lost under the ocean, taking with it one of the world's most puzzling mysteries.
Till date, no conclusive proof has been found to support the existence of Atlantis. Many are of the belief that Atlantis was a colony of aliens from another world. But how far this is true, is an unexplained mystery?
